Random Things!

Ray got to set on Santa's lap at the ward party, and tell him what everyone wanted for Christmas.
He did a great job!
Apparently, Ray & Weston want scooters, Ellie wants a music player, Bekah wants a Barbie, and Mom & Dad want a Clean house.

The Polar Express
Ellie & Anna(Ellie's BFF) and I signed up to volunteer on the Polar Express Train this holiday season. I got to be a reader/host.
Ellie and Anna were Elves.
They even got to pick their own elf names, Candy Cane and Glitter.
The girls and I had a lot of FUN and are already looking forward to next year.
My Birthday
Ellie has become quite the little baker/cook lately, she made and decorated this cake for my birthday
Happy 29 to me again!

Gingerbread Houses
Our family theme this year was Nursery Rhymes!
Ellie made the 3 little pigs Christmas!
House of Bricks
House of Sticks
House of Straw
We are not sure what Nursery Rhyme Weston came up with,
However it sure looked cool!
Inside too!
Bekah decided on Away in a Manger.
It turned out great and sold at the auction for $23.
Ray made Humpty Dumpty!
It sold at the auction for $10.
Gramie Anderson bought it, so Ray is excited to get to eat it after the holidays.
I was inspired by the Author/Illustrator Night at the library and made a scene from the book "Snowman at Night" by Caralyn and Mark Beuhner.
Snowball fight!
We turned our houses into the auction, right before going to Author's Night and I just relaxed and enjoyed the evening and didn't take one picture.

Grma Susy came up with this awesome clock from 3 Blind Mice Nursery Rhyme. It sold at the auction for $60.
This was my favorite house/castle at the Auction, such cute ideas for next year.

Thanksgiving Pies

I got to make pies(2 pumpkin, 1 apple,1 cherry, & 1 banana cream) this year for Thanksgiving with Lyn's family.
I had a lot of fun using my mother's pie crust cutter, from Williams~Sonoma.
I love the way the cherry one turned out! It looks so festive!

Alyssa's Wedding Cake!

I must be crazy, we had issues with this cake, however it was a blast to decorate!
My BIL Klint, helped me with the flower arranging, he is very talented!
Ready to go!
(the Windex has nothing to do with the cake)
A couple of big strong boys to transport it!
Thank you! Spencer & Ryan!
Cake topper on and all the holes filled in with flowers!
I think it turned out great for my 1st wedding cake.
I can see a few flaws, but no one else could. Everyone gave great reviews!
Jake and Alyssa cutting the cake!
Nicely feeding each other.(Andrew looks on)
After the cake fight!
Jake had frosting all over his face and Alyssa had cake in her hair.
If you can have a cake fight, and laugh about it your marriage will last forever!

Weston received his Cub Scout Wolf badge this past week!

Weston and his fellow cub scouts, worked really hard to get their wolf badges.

6 of my Wolves got their badges that night!

As a den mother, I couldn't have been more proud of my wolf pack!

My Niece Maddison's,
Princess Castle Cake
It turned out cute and she loved it of course.

Happy 4th Birthday Maddison!
(I call her Maddy)

Playtime in the basement at Grandma's house.

Dress-ups with Sydney.

This is Grandpa Berg and Baby Porter taking a nap.

Purse Cakes for the R.S. B-day '08

For the Relief Society Birthday party, my friend Rachel, asked me to make
the cakes for the party. The theme of the night was
"Our Purse-onal Journey Closer to Christ"
So I made four purse cakes to go with the theme.

This cake is Choc. cake w/ choc. frosting and pink bubblegum tape accents.

This one is yellow cake w/ strawberry cream cheese filling and pink frosting and licorice accents

This one is white cake w/ lemon pudding filling, yellow frosting and jelly bean accents.

The handle is spice jelly beans strung on craft wire.

This cake is carrot cake w/ cream cheese frosting, the handle is wire ribbon, and the accents are made from molded yellow tootsie rolls.

I found this design for the Channel purse on the internet.

All together the turned out pretty cool! Everyone seems to love them!

Heather's Projects

This is another cake that I made for Lyn's partners daughter, Landrea. It turned out pretty cool.
She is a very girly girl so this jewelry box cake was prefect for her. My friends and family are telling me I should start a cake decorating business. What do you think?!
This is my 1st major quilt design for my new hobby, the Heber Valley quilt guild. It is a 6month project called design challenge, and this is 2 months worth. 1st was to make a quilt out of the assigned element, my was earth, the others where air, water, and fire, and 2nd was to applique something on it. I found the bear pattern online and really wanted to use it. My friend/mentor Rachel really helped me out with this! If it wasn't for her I would never be able to do this! Thanks Rach! It's been fun. So far, so good.
This is another project I've been working. A R.S. Valentine enrichment project. Yes, Valentine's is over, but I have other plans for this cute quilt.

My Niece's Birthdays!

This is the Supergirl cake I made for my niece Sydney's Birthday!
She loved it!

I ordered the frosting from Days, they have the best color selection!

This is the Princess Castle cake I made for my niece Andalyn's Birthday!

Yes! It looks like the Princess's are tipping over, but the dresses are longer than their feet. I guess that's a polly pocket princess for ya!

She just turned two! It was a fun cake to make, her Mom, Emily helped me frost it. I got all my cute ideas from http://www.cakecentral.com/ It is the best site but very addictive! Happy Birthday Girls! Love ya!
