New Kids Rooms!

To start the project,
we had to put all their stuff somewhere they could still get to it.

Good thing the home-teachers didn't come over during the mess.

The Hall

Lyn didn't want to do the pink wall, however us girls won.
Besides it has white paint texture over the pink, and it looks really good.

The wallpaper strip we left up,& just painted one wall the tan color.

Lyn got Weston's Cael Sanderson stuff put together, and hung in his room too.

The new furniture came from Grandma Susy's find at the thrift store.
Ellie was excited about the desk for doing her homework.

Wolves & A Princess!

Weston received his Cub Scout Wolf badge this past week!

Weston and his fellow cub scouts, worked really hard to get their wolf badges.

The Disney Program!

Weston was in the 3rd grade Disney program this past week!

This is his class dance to Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
He is dancing with the girl in the green.

Weston's part: "Once I said it to my girl, and now my girls my wife, and a lovely thing she is too!"

Maylie loved Mickey Mouse and kept asking "Where's Mickey?" though out the whole performance. She was excited to have her picture taken with him.

It was a fun experience for Weston, we will buy a copy of the performance if any one would like to see it.

Trip to St. George!

It is SPRING in St.George!

The Popcorn is popping on the pear tree!

It was so nice out that we were able to were shorts.

The flowers were all in bloom!

We went to visit Momma's friend Sheri, from college and her family. Mom and Sheri haven't seen each other for 3 years. We had a great time playing at her house, with her little boy Garret. He is so cute!

On Sunday, after church we went and walked around the St. George Temple grounds. It was beautiful, and so peaceful.

It was a fun day just being together as a BIG happy family!

Beignets!(ben-yeahs)

For the past few Sundays, we have had Beignets for dessert.

Grandma Susy realized, that she had quite a few boxes of mix in storage that needed to be used.
Grandpa Blaine, has an uncle, in Louisiana, that sends a box of Beignet mix every year for Christmas.

So Uncle Klint, taught Ellie and the kids how to make them.

1st, knead the water, and the mix together to make a sticky dough.

Next form the dough into a ball, and then roll it out on a floured surface.

Ray likes to watch Klint at work.

Next cut the dough, into 2" strips one way.

Then the other way to form 2" squares.

All Done, and ready to be put in the hot oil.

When the oil is hot enough, deep fry the beignets until puffed up, drain on a paper towel,

Cover in powdered sugar and enjoy!
