I am a Ford Mustang!

You're an American classic -- fast, strong, and bold. You're not snobby or pretentious, but you have what it takes to give anyone a run for their money.

Beignets!(ben-yeahs)

For the past few Sundays, we have had Beignets for dessert.
Grandma Susy realized, that she had quite a few boxes of mix in storage that needed to be used.
Grandpa Blaine, has an uncle, in Louisiana, that sends a box of Beignet mix every year for Christmas.
So Uncle Klint, taught Ellie and the kids how to make them.
1st, knead the water, and the mix together to make a sticky dough.
Next form the dough into a ball, and then roll it out on a floured surface.
Ray likes to watch Klint at work.
Next cut the dough, into 2" strips one way.
Then the other way to form 2" squares.
All Done, and ready to be put in the hot oil.
When the oil is hot enough, deep fry the beignets until puffed up, drain on a paper towel,
Cover in powdered sugar and enjoy!

Weston said, " I would eat them on a boat, and I would eat them with a goat."
Bekah said, " I would eat them here or there, I would eat them anywhere!"
Ray said, " I would eat then in the rain, and I would eat them on a train."

Almost a Sleepover!

Last weekend my sister, Annelisa and her husband went out on a date so we got to watch their kids. We had a lot of fun playing together and eating ice cream cones. We even made a big bed on the family room floor and watched a movie and then fell asleep, cause Annelisa and Brian were late getting back. Oh well, I'm sure we were late sometime when she used to tend for us.

Cute Sophie, and her cream cone!
