Mudpies, Peaches, and a Fashion Show!

Mud Pies
One day last week the kids were playing outside, after awhile
I noticed it was to quite so I went outside to check on them, and this is what I found.

Weston's double layer mud cake.

Ray's mud pudding with green leaves.

Bekah's 2 mud pies with leaves for decoration.
The mess wasn't too bad,
but I wonder if they had more fun washing off the deck
with the hose or making the mess.
Peaches

Mandy cutting the peaches to fit in the bottles.

Mom, checking the peaches in the canners.

Peaches that are ready to be processed and some that are done.
I love how pretty they look in the jars.

Fashion Show

Yesterday, Bekah was invited to her cousin's dress-up birthday party.

It was a lot of fun. They got to decorate their own dress ups.

Then have a fashion show for their parents

Bekah's new dress up
Bekah's cousins, Sydney and Brieanna
Bekah and Emma
The beautiful girls, the birthday girl Rebecca,

The Pine Wood Derby!

This was Weston's 1st Pine Wood Derby.
Lyn helped Weston cut out his car & run the sander,
but the design and paint job were all his own ideas.
(I helped with the flames a little bit)

Here is one of Weston's races, his car is 3rd from the right.

The winner of each race was down to the millisecond!

Weston's car(bottom) wasn't the fastest car in the pack,
However he received the award for the Fastest Looking car!
Here are 11 of my wolf scouts, that participated in the event.
(L-R) Braden, Matthew, Weston, Jordan, Gunner,
Kayden, Conner, Drew, Page, Dallin, & Ashton
My wolf scouts took home 1st, 2nd, and 3rd fastest cars in the pack!
Way to go WOLVES!

Kola is all better!

This is our dog Kola, in Aug he was in an accident.
He was riding in the back of Lyn's truck, going up to scout Elk with him, and slid off the tool box when Lyn went around a corner.
He got some pretty nasty road rash on all of his feet,
and luckily no broken bones.

After 8 weeks with a cone on his head, and lots of stitches.

His wounds look so much better,

and we are so glad that he can play with us again!

the Berg family gets together for dinner.
Last week I remembered to take pictures.
Here is Corey, my oldest brother, grilling the steaks.
They tasted so good, GREAT Job, Corey!
We like to eat outside on the basketball court. It takes 3 tables for all of us.
Here is my youngest sister, Krystalina(not married), and my niece, Maylie.

My niece, Sophie, and her jam face.
Everyone loves Grandma's homemade jam & rolls.

My kids are Grandma Susy's and Grandpa Blaine's only blood related grand kids, they however have many that have been adopted into our family.

State Fair Fun!

For FHE, on Monday, we decided to go down to the Utah State Fair.
Ellie had a few things that got to go this year in 4-H.
Here is her blue horse rock, that won a blue ribbon.
She loved looking at all the fun projects that other kids had done, and got some good ideas for next year.
We also went to a free repetiles show, that was really cool.
They kids enjoyed seeing all the animals too.
Goats
Bekah loved the pigs.
Ray thought the pigs were too stinky.
The momma pig with the piglets was fun to watch.

We also went to the Hands On Farm for kids.
Here is Ray gathering corn to feed the animals
Ellie was really good at milking the cow.
Ray wanted to pick more apples.
And he really had fun planting the seeds in the garden.

Weston's favorite part was the tractors.
Ray liked the tractors too, and wanted to keep riding.
Bekah liked the chickens. At the end of the farm the kids got to go into a store and exchange the things they had gathered at the farm for a treat.
We had a fun family trip to the State Fair!

Ray is likes going to school with Mom.
This week we are discussing the theme "All About Me"
This is Ray working hard on coloring his picture.
He's got the tongue in cheek consentration look going.

Here he is eating his fish crakers, after successfully sorting them in to colors.
Music time is a favorite part of the day for all the kids.
Here they are singing "No More Monkeys Jumpin' on the Bed"
This is Story time/Snack time. I am the lead teacher this week.
