My Snowman Collection!

As many of you know I LOVE Snowmen! This is truly only part of my collection.
I usually put my collection up around Jan 1st and leave it up til Easter.

However, Easter was early this year and there was still snow on the ground so I left it up. My sister, who has been enjoying Japan instead of a Utah winter this year, asked that I take it down before May 1st when she comes back to Utah, to ward off anymore snow. What do you think?

My Twilight Obsession!

This obsession is not unhealthy, as of yet! I just really liked the Twilight book series, and the story appeals to my romantic nature. I am odd, strangely enough, even among the Twilight fans(the new word for us is "Fanpires") because, I love the underdog(no pun intended) Jacob Black! Anyway, here is my Jacob Black in wolf form, and if you haven't read this series you need to. I have Twilight and Eclipse(3) that I could lend you, my New Moon(2) book ships w/ Breaking Dawn the 4th book due out in Aug. '08!

Kola's B-day

Every year we get together to celebrate Kola's Birthday on April 23rd.
It's really the anniversary of the day we adopted him.
( he was born in Oct.)
At 1st it was just a reason to get together in the spring, but the kids look so forward to it, that it's become a Birthday BBQ! Even Kola gets a hotdog!
This is the dog cake I made him.
It's called peanut butter delight, with cottage cheese frosting!
(Only Kola gets to eat it)
Here he is patiently waiting for the OK!

Here are the kids and Kola!

The kids got popcicles!
I'm glad to was a nice day to have the party outside!

Time for Kola's present!
He very carefully takes the paper off with his teeth!

He loved his bone! However, had to promptly go outside and bury it in his kennel.
It was a good day. The best part is tag with the kids and Lyn after the party, but I forgot to take pictures of that!

Weston-The Cub Scout!

Last Thursday, Weston recieved his 1st cub scout badge.
He was awarded the Bobcat badge!

Here is Miss Sally, our Cub Master helping Weston pin the parent badge on his Dad!
It's the award they have to earn before they can earn any other badges.
By doing this badge the boys learn all about what is required of cub scouts. Like the cub scout promise, how to take care of your uniform, what kinds of things you will learn ect.

Weston is really excited to be in Cub Scouts,
and we are proud of him for earning his 1st badge!

A Week of Fun!

This was Bekah's 1st game of the spring soccer season. She had a lot of fun
Bekah loves to play soccer!

Ray and Momma with the baby goats.
Our friends the Lances got twin baby goats in March.
Thier names are Diablo and Angel, cute names for twins huh?

On Sunday morning, us girls decided to paint our toenails for spring. Momma has flowers, Ellie has sky with clouds, and Bekah has butterflies.

Since I have had a lot of Crazy Spam Comments on this blog lately, I've been advised to go with the word verification to stop this problem. Sorry!

Zoo Fun!

For Friday afternoon, we went to the Hoogle Zoo. Luckily for us it had started to warm up and by the end of the day we even took off our jackets. Some of the animals that are usually asleep when we have gone before were wide awake and fun to see. Weston loved the Tiger, Ellie missed the Zebras, but thought the Rattle Snake was cool when it followed her fingers along the glass. Bekah loved the Meerkat babies, 3 were born the end of Feb. and so fun to watch. Ray loved the Turtles, and the elephant who was playing with the pinata! We also played in the playland for awhile, and I did get stuck in the turtle shell, and almost peed my pants from laughing so hard while Ellie tried to get me out. It was a fun away to end our Spring Break adventure!

More spring break fun!

Friday, we met Grandma Berg, Emily, Andalyn, & Porter, and Susan, & her girls at the Children's Museum for a fun day. I had never been since it changed location to the Gateway. The kids had a fun time. Ellie's favorite part was the farm and the horse. Weston loved the science room, Bekah liked playing in the balls in the beehive, and Ray's favorite part was playing in the water! Everyone had a great time!
After that we went to lunch at the Lion House Pantry(part of the pass) It was really good and we were starving! The kids loved the Choc. cake for dessert, and I love their rolls. I didn't take any pictures, but we had fun looking at all the old quilts hanging on the walls. It's cool when your kids start to notice the things you are into. It was a fun morning together!

Dinner on the Town!

After playing all day we were starving!
So we went to dinner at one of our favorite places.
The Old Spaghetti Factory!
We all had some form of spaghetti and meatballs, with ice cream for dessert.
I love it! This is the only place I can get my favorite Spamoni(choc, cherry, pastacio) ice cream year round! My kids call it Mom's crazy ice cream, but they like it too!

Dinosaur Fun!

After the Aquarium we drove down to Thanksgiving Point to go to the Dinosaur Museum. We had been there once before when Ray was little, so he had lots of fun this time around. I really like this museum, because its all hands on and there are only a few things that the kids can't touch. We were going see the gardens too and play at the noah's ark water park, but it was just too cold and windy. Anyway we had a great day, and were tired when we got home.

Spring Break Fun!

For Spring Break this year we didn't go away, so I promised the kids if they would help me get some work done, that we would go play for a few days. I bought some passes on the internet called a connect pass from www.visitsaltlake.com. So with this pass you can visit 12 attractions. We bought the 2 day passes for $22 each child and $28 for me (adult). The first place we went was The Living Planet Aquarium. It was really fun! See the pictures below!

Kamas Pool Fun!

It was a cold day for Spring Break, this week and the kids were restless. So my girlfriend Dyan and I bribed them into getting their chores done for a trip to the Kamas Pool. It was nice to let the kids play, while we visited a bit. I even wore my Capri's and waded.
( No pictures of that)
The kids had a great time and even went to bed early, cause they were so worn out!
Everybody's Favorite the Big Yellow Slide
This is Weston going down the big slide!

This is Bekah!

(I almost missed that shot)

Ellie is too old for the kiddie pool, so

she is learning to like the diving board!

Now you see her!

Now you don't!

( I missed that shot!)

Ray and his good buddy Weston, relaxin'

on the Lazy River!

Waterfall!

Bekah loves to slide!

Ray just hangin' out in the shallow end.

Ray thought he was So Big this time, because the shallow part of the pool has a place where the water is only a foot from the side, and Ray would get up on the side and say 1,2,3, and jump in. Then turn around, grin at me and say "Did ya see that Momma? I jumped in like the big kids."

12 Years of Wedded Bliss(whatever bliss is)

Yes, Lyn and I have been married for 12 years!
(I know it is hard to believe, since we look so young.)
It has been a crazy wild ride so far! Our 1st anniversary dinner, I was pregnant and just getting over the nausea stage. We went to dinner in Midway and then left the doggy bag in the truck to go next door to rent a movie. When we got back into the truck, the smell of the left overs made me so sick that we had to stop on the way home so I could throw up all over Lyn's boots! Well, anniversary dinners have gotten lots better over the years. This year we needed just a quick get away. So we got a discount room from KTMP for the Timpanogos Inn in Lehi. We left Friday afternoon and went down to dinner at Chili's, it was good food and it had been a while since we had eaten there. We took our dessert back to the suite and relaxed in the jacuzzi. It was good to get away, even if it was only one night!
Thanks to Chris & Tiesha for watching the kids.
