Bear River Rendezvous

For the last weekend before school started, we headed up to Evanston, WY. to our favorite Rendezvous! Bear River!

Weston got to shoot the muzzle loader for the 1st time.
Bekah loved being Grpa Blaine's helper for the shoot.
Silly Ray!

Kids Games- The kids get to go and learn to play games that Rendezvous children would have played in the pre-1840's.
Bekah running the lock arms race.
Weston getting ready for the sack race.
Ray winning the sack race!
Candy Cannon!
Wadin' in the Bear River.
Ellie
It was a great way to cool off on the hot Aug. days

The guys soon discovered the crawdads,
and the hunt was on!
Lyn pretending to let it pinch him.
Ray was only brave enough to hold the craw dad with his eyes closed.

That night was the Rendezvous dance.
Many Strings and his band provided the music.
Lyn and I dancing!
Grma Susy, dancing with Weston while Bekah keeps time.
Ellie dancin' with the girls.
Chris, Tiesha, Bekah, and Ray.
Weston and Roxanne
Weston made a new friend at kids games and after he got up the courage to ask her to dance, they danced the whole rest of the night. They both had fun!
It was a great Rendezvous! We all a lot fun and made some great memories!

Looks like you had a great time! Weston is already asking the girls to dance?!?! Wow!
In French the word Rendezvous means appointment. So while I am working with the missionaries, they always say, "We just finished our Rendezvous with Bro/Sis...", and I always think of my big sister sleeping in the woods. :)

So much fun - I'm glad you all got to go to the Rendezvous!!! Better than just camping! Love, Grandma Berg
