On Sat. June 20th, our family participated in the annual Literary Picnic at the Library. Grandma Susy, Spirit Woman was asked to come this year and do a presentation on Native Americans and tell some of their story legends.
She did a great job, and kept the kids interested by showing them some of the things Indians made,
Teaching an Indian dance,
(Miss Sally dressed up too and read some Indian stories.)and by teaching us about Indian drums and letting some of the kids play them.
Great job, Grandma Susy!As always the kids had to have their face painted, and Soda Pop the Clown can paint your face anyway you want.

Weston and Ray went with the Scary Skull face.
and Bekah looks like a Tiger!As you can tell it rained on us a bit(a lot)!
However, that didn't stop the Little Mermaid(Miss Sally) from having a great time!
Bubble blowing was a big hit!
Especially, the bubble machine!
Ray thought the Juggle Nuts guy was pretty cool too!
He even gave Ray a lesson.All in all we had a good turn out for a RAINY day.
We sold maybe 100 snow-cones, for Friends of the Library, but it was a lot of fun!

That sounds like it was a lot of fun! I especially like the little mermaid :).
Susy was great! It was a super time. I am so sad I missed the Mermaid - she looks so great! And I must say the juggler man looks pretty fun too.
But, we all stunk and Kendal was in her pajamas with cowgirl boots- not how I want the valley folk to think of me. Plus, the rain scared me away.
IT was a great day though. Thanks for helping all the amazing library ladies.
We presonally loved the snake/insect guy. Kendal still talks about the snakes and the turtle.
